Packed and ready to go

The big day has finally arrived. How much stuff can two people have.  We have put stuff in storage, we have sold and given away stuff, we have stuff stored with friends and family and still we have 3 suitcases and backpacks.  Oh well it is 3 months worth and we need to cater for Romes 41 degrees and and single digits we will experience later in the mountains.

Checking into the airport has been quick and easy.  After all the talk of the chaos following the arrests of ‘terrorists’ – we got through in record time.  Speaking to the staff, it has been crazy but today they have extra staff and have improved their process.

Time to relax in the lounge before we depart 🙂
