Singapore stopover…..
A day in Singapore proved to be the perfect way to minimise the effects of jetlag. We didn’t get much sleep on the flight from Rome as our bodies thought it was still morning. On landing in Singapore early the next morning, we left our hand luggage in storage and caught the MRT into the CBD. We’d arranged to catch up with someone from the Singapore office of SoftEd – the company that Glenda works with. It’s always good to get a local view of the world and work – and over coffee was a bonus! The rest of the day was spent wondering around the river and shopping centres before returning the airport.
And thus began the last leg of our long and enlightening trip…..
Home??
Having left Europe at the end of October in unseasonably warm weather, Sydney welcomed us with unusually cold weather. At least we were able to wear all the warm clothes that we’d carried around the world for months without wearing!
Thanks to Rick and Brigitte, we were welcomed with open arms (and a bed), given we didn’t have our own home to go to. After a few days under their roof (thanks again!) we packed up our car with all our possessions and drove up to our current little home in Brisbane. And that is where we will stay for another month until………..
